On January 24, 2008, Dassault Systemes unveiled its new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) V6 strategy. V6 will deliver a single, open and scaleable service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform that enables the PLM solution to span from multidisciplinary engineering groups, all the way to enterprise business users.
While the V6 platform is applicable to all segments, initial releases are planned to focus on large enterprise customers in the industrial equipment, automotive, and aerospace segments.
The V6 platform will deliver the next generation of PLM application integration to improve productivity across the extended enterprise and to help you shorten your product time to market.
Dassault Systemes also announced ENOVIA MatrixOne 10.8. This release will deliver enhanced performance, add new industry-focused solutions to the MatrixOne portfolio, and will be V6-enabled.IBM intends to make available the PLM V6 products included in the Dassault Systemes' CATIA, ENOVIA, and DELMIA brands in 2008. IBM also intends to make ENOVIA MatrixOne 10.8 available in the first half of 2008.
